David, also known as Kiwi, is a passionate woodworker specializing in creating fine, unique furniture using artisanal techniques, almost entirely by hand. From sketching his designs to carefully selecting the right wood, often reclaimed from old roofs and even train tracks, every step of his process reflects his dedication to craftsmanship. Each piece is finished with his signature bow tie detail and logo tag, making it unmistakably his. I had the opportunity to capture his story as he worked in his natural habitat, closely following every step of a coffee table’s creation, from a simple sketch to a finished design. His knowledge, skill, and eye for detail are truly remarkable, showcasing his deep passion for the craft.
